The Nurtured Parent
Parent Support Service
A supportive space for caregivers, designed to strengthen connection and confidence.
Parenting can bring moments of joy as well as uncertainty. The Nurtured Parent offers support and guidance for caregivers who wish to understand their child’s emotional world, respond with empathy, and build a more connected family dynamic.
This service is part of Nurturing Hearts Play Therapy and compliments the therapeutic work children do in sessions by empowering parents with insight and tools for everyday life.

My approach
Grounded in attachment theory, therapeutic play, sensory awareness, and emotional attunement, my approach recognises that every child’s needs are unique — and that nurturing and supporting parents is an essential part of supporting children.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of delivering numerous parent groups and providing individual parent support sessions, helping families build stronger connections and develop emotional understanding within the home.
My work is informed by my extensive training in a range of parenting and therapeutic programmes, including Circle of Security Parenting, Theraplay, Parents Plus, and others focused on attachment, emotional regulation, and trauma-informed care.
I believe that when parents feel seen, understood, and empowered, they are better able to tune into their child’s nervous system — creating more calm, safety, and connection within the family.
